Just look at this gorgeous family! But it's no surprise...mom is in the business of beauty -- she's an awesome hair stylist and owner of Creative Images Hair Studio. I must have had something funny hanging on my camera lens, because the kids caught a funny case of the giggles -- which I love! Thanks to Dad (John) for playing portrait with us -- won't make you do it again for a little while, ok?

Shelly's Belly

I have the best neighbours! This neighbour in particular is also a great friend -- wasn't it nice of Shelly to get preggo with bubba #4 just so I could take more belly pics and have another gorgeous newborn to snap!? What a woman :) Again, another gorgeous gal and photogenic family. Sure makes my job easy!

Stay tuned around the end of October...gonna be a bumper crop of newbies filling up my lens by then! Ahhh... I can smell the baby powder already :)

Baby on the Way!

This gal, Tina, is my best friend. (Doesn't she have a gorgeous family?!) She is about to join my ranks as a mom-of-three. She is in a league of her own, however, when it comes to strength, courage and faith. At about the same time they were blessed with pregnancy #3, Tina and husband Mike found out that their son Gabriel has leukemia. Gabriel is strong though (like his mom) and we know he is at the beginning of a long journey back to health. This is an unimaginable time in their lives and I feel very fortunate to be able to help in the smallest way -- by preserving this moment of celebration in photos.

Please take a moment to reflect on the blessings in your own life.

These three kiddos are my little loves :) They are my go-to models when I want to try something new...they are used to posing for Mommy's camera now after all these years. I will be photographing hair models soon for the new website photo gallery of a talented local hair stylist. These shots are my 'work in progress' in arranging a background and lighting for the shoot. I couldn't resist sharing them here though. I love Connor's apprehensive smile, Abby's wistful glance and Ryan's straightforward stare.

I was thrilled when my yoga teacher, Annette, asked me to do the photography for the new website that she and her business partner, Lisa, would soon be launching for their Serenity Yoga studio. This is baby Max...only a few weeks old in these pictures and such a sweetheart to put up with my camera staring at him. He finally had enough in this last shot -- but the crying is so true of this time in their lives. Luckily momma scooped him up for a feeding the next moment and all was forgiven :)

Don't forget extended family... as time goes on, and life gets busier, we may see our loved ones less often. Take an hour next time they're visiting and meet me at the park. You'll cherish photos with siblings, parents and grandparents for their sentiment and rarity. This group was Mom, Dad & son with Aunt & Uncle, and Grandparents at our lovely Southside Park.

This group...love them like family (maybe because they are family!). Check out my sweet little niece...Daddy better watch out one day when those gorgeous eyes are smiling at the boys and not just the camera :) This is a beautiful place for pictures -- Chesney Conservation area in Innerkip.

This good looking crew live next door and were great to photograph. Littlest gal, Anastasia didn't warm up to the camera much... smiles were hard to find, but that's part of the joy of capturing the moment -- a one year old is never going to be anything than what they are - genuine :)
